Artist,professional singer/musician, and vocal teacher.

Belén is a Jazz and Tango singer, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1987.
At the age of 13, she started guitar lessons at school, where she discovered her passion for singing. Two years later she decided to take private singing lessons and, shortly afterwards, her teacher noticed her potential and encouraged her to sing Jazz. From that moment on, she never left it.
From 2006 until 2010, she took courses to obtain the degree of "Professional Singer/Musician" at EMBA (Escuela de Música de Buenos Aires). During this period she deepened her knowledge about Jazz and was introduced to Argentinian Tango, which then would become her other great passion. Furthermore, she took part of the “EMBA Big Band of Jazz”, was selected among her classmates in several competitions of vocal Jazz and Tango, and recorded her own song named “Can you listen to my heart” with the famous musician Javier Malossetti as a producer. Her teachers at EMBA were Guadalupe Raventos in Jazz, and Ana Wajsman in Tango, among others.

Out of EMBA, she took private guitar lessons, and private singing lessons with Martín Durañona.

In 2011 she took part of a singing workshop with Dominique Eade (USA) organized as part of the “Festival Internacional Buenos Aires Jazz 2011” and also performed in the Tango venue “La Bohemia”.

Towards the end of her studies she discovered her passion for teaching. Little by little, increased her number of students up to 32 a week during 2013 and 2014, in addition to some workshops in primary schools.

In 2013 she recorded her first solo album “Remontar Vuelo”, which dived her into the composition world. The album included 11 songs in rhythm of Jazz, Ballad, Bossa Nova and Blues, and it featured great musicians of argentinian Jazz. With this work she completed her degree at EMBA, presenting the CD with a research work called “The romantic esthetic in Jazz language”, about the musical and vocal styles of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Norah Jones and Diana Krall, who were some of her musical influences.

At the end of 2014 she moved to Lugano, Switzerland, where she now lives.

In July 2016, she participated in the “Berklee Summer School at Umbria Jazz Clinics”, as part of the Umbria Jazz Festival, at Perugia, Italy.
From 2017 she gives singing/vocal lessons in Lugano.
